Leslie Smolan is the Executive Director of the Estate of Rodney Smith. Smolan had a thirty-year collaboration with photographer Rodney Smith, both as his creative partner and wife. Today, she is actively engaged in preserving, enhancing and sharing Smith’s legacy.Leslie was the co-founder of Carbone Smolan Agency (CSA), the creative force behind some of the world’s most celebrated brands. She is a creative and business leader known for her relentless pursuit of timeless beauty and the power of great design. She has a passion for bringing together the talent, expertise and resources to engage and delight audiences across every walk of life. CSA’s client roster includes award-winning assignments for a myriad of brands—from Mandarin Oriental, Credit Suisse and Coach to some of the most esteemed art institutions in the world, including LACMA, The Jewish Museum and The Musée du Louvre. With business partner Ken Carbone, she received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Institute of Graphic Arts in 2014 in recognition of her inspiring leadership and remarkable career in creating audience-informed design systems and brand experiences.
