About Leslie Schilsky

As a Project Chartering Specialist at Bechtel, I manage the end-to-end process of securing ocean chartering services, from RFQ to award and project execution. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Policy Studies from Rice University and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from the University of Denver. I am also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.My career began in consulting, where I helped clients navigate complex challenges such as post-acquisition organizational change, ERP system transitions, and process optimization to boost operational efficiency. These experiences honed my ability to identify root causes, collaborate across teams, and implement practical, impactful solutions.After five years in consulting, I decided to pursue my Master\'s degree with the pursuit of understanding how supply chains can become more sustainable. My graduate thesis focused on maritime decarbonization, exploring policy and market-based solutions to accelerate the adoption of renewable fuels. During this time, I also gained hands-on experience in sales and operations across breakbulk shipping, trucking, and warehousing. Today, I work within Bechtel’s Global Logistics team on Gulf Coast energy projects, leveraging my diverse experience to contribute to strategic and sustainable supply chains.
