About Leslie Sanchez

Leslie is the Director of Development for Dual Language Education of New Mexico (DLeNM). DLeNM is a grassroots nonprofit whose mission is to develop, support and advocate for high-quality dual language enriched education and to help protect and best serve emerging bilingual students across the country. Leslie began her career in the for-profit industry and her background includes: sales, marketing, HR, business management and communications. Her desire to help others lead to her volunteering in local community organizations. After working 17 years in the automotive industry and with encouragement from family and friends, Leslie took a leap of faith and began working for a nonprofit. Since that time DLeNM has doubled in size and has been able to build a financial reserve, providing a solid foundation for the organization since its establishment in 2001. Currently, Leslie is one of the Co-coordinators for the organization\'s annual conference La Cosecha, which hosted attendees virtually in 2020 from across the country. Leslie is a driven business professional dedicated to fundraising, marketing, and sales growth within the organization she serves.
