In this position I am responsible for internal and external communication within the county government. I am the public information officer for crisis communications for crisis situations involving Campbell County Government entities. I monitor and oversee all social media content for the county and the various departments with their independent social media pages. I work with Human Resources to develop branding and promotion pieces for job, hiring events and promotion of employment opportunities. I am the point of contact for citizens and media looking for information on what is happening with the county government and assist departments with building messaging for events. As the PIO, I also manage and distribute all public records requests which are submitted to the county government, ensuring they are documented appropriately, communication with the requester is professional and courteous and the response is within appropriate timelines. Additionally, I oversee policy organization, structure and development to include number, naming conventions, appropriate formatting and consistency of content and revision deadlines. My position is responsible for generating the annual report for the county, collecting information, layout, design and publication oversight. I provide support with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
