I am a certified CPC.I have been working as a medical coder specialist at Pediatric Associates. I have a strong knowledge of coding and billing guidelines, policies, and procedures, and I am proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.At Pediatric Associates, I code medical records for the complete and correct assignment of codes, following strict coding guidelines. I query providers to obtain information, documentation, and patient data to ensure compliant and complete patient documentation and medical records. I also obtain insurance verification and pre-certification for office procedures. I maintain a high accuracy coding rate while meeting and exceeding production goals. I evaluate hospital rounding charges to make sure they are timely and accurately coded to be billed out. I research Medicaid and commercial plans to increase my coding knowledge for improved accuracy. I also assist with specific coding projects focused on quality improvement. I am passionate about delivering quality and accurate coding and billing services to support the revenue cycle and the patient care of Pediatric Associates. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team of coders, billers, providers, and managers.
