ABOUT LESLIE M. GOUTHRO

District of Columbia-barred attorney with five years of experience in litigation, case management, and client relations. Gouthro practices in the Firm\'s Complex Litigation, Pharmaceutical Products, and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. Her practice extends to commercial litigation, including construction and engineering disputes, breach of contract and design claims, and business torts in multidistrict litigation. Her work on behalf of clients includes drafting pleadings, motions, and legal analysis. She also has experience managing discovery, where her responsibilities included the identification, review, and production of electronic documents for complex litigation.Ms. Gouthro has experience with complex construction and engineering litigation and arbitration in federal and state courts involving industrial project general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and architect-engineers in breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and defective workmanship actions. While serving as a trial team member in court for a multi-party complex engineering and construction trial, Ms. Gouthro assisted in all aspects of trial preparation including pre-trial motions, legal research, and witness preparation, and developing direct and cross-examination outlines and demonstratives.Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Gouthro worked with the District of Columbia in defending against wrongful termination and procurement fraud claims. She also served as an investigator for an international organization to assess fraudulent, corrupt, collusive, coercive, or obstructive practices allegedly conducted by its staff members. She examined procurement practices to determine whether multimillion dollar contracts were awarded as a result of illegal misconduct.Ms. Gouthro is a 2017 graduate of the Howard University School of Law, where she was President of the International Law Society. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia, where she was a double major in English and Spanish. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Gouthro served as an intern at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia and worked with an investigative unit of the World Bank Group. She was a member of the Firm\'s 2016 Summer Associate class, and serves on the Firm’s Recruitment Committee.
