Lead operational HR support for the National Executive office;• In conjunction with HR leadership, develop and implement assigned strategy projects consistent with firm direction and culture;• Collaborate with Vice President, Human Resources (HR) in the improvement of HR programs, documents, strategy and best practice;• Lead and administer HR projects and initiatives with an emphasis on progressive HR, consistency and continuous improvement;• Support workplace diversity initiatives including leading firm strategy on Aboriginal employment and Aboriginal relationship program;• Lead teams across Canada in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance initiative, developing and implementing best practices in Ontario as well as across Canada;• Support the delivery of the annual performance appraisal process;• Oversee compensation and bonus cycles, ensuring philosophy is applied fairlyand consistently;• Accountable for full cycle recruitment process for all position levels (including Executive roles);• Complete role evaluations and create standard job requisitions and descriptions;• Develop relationships with national and local vendors, negotiating MSA contracts of mutual benefit;• Hold both exit and stay interviews to manage and identify areas for improvement in retention and engagement;• Manage terminations as appropriate;• Disability management;• Provide coaching and guidance to the executive team and leaders on employee matters and the interpretation of company policy, disciplinary issues, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, legal matters, recruitment and developmental opportunities;• Develop junior HC team members, providing constructive on-the-job feedback and training;• Identify and address issues that impact morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism andproductivity;• Assist in the investigation of complex situations as they arise and provide guidance as needed.
