About Leslie Howerton
Member of the Operations Leadership Team in the Bowerman Footwear Lab at Nike WHQ. The Bowerman Footwear Lab produces high quality footwear, prototypes new technologies, and collaborates with footwear product creation to enable responsive footwear development. As the Sr. Material Ops. Manager I am responsible for all material development, sourcing, procurement, inventory, and vendor management and strategy for the BFL. I lead and manage a team of 3 Material Coordinators, 1 Procurement Manager and 1 Yarn Librarian. Our team manages all materials and material sourcing, everything from yarn to large machinery needed to make footwear samples. As part of this role I collaborate with innovators, designers and developers to develop and source materials to make high quality shoes for Athletes, Influencers, and Innovation on site at WHQ.
