Compassionate About People.Leslie Apgar, MD is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Apgar graduated from the Honors Program at Washington State University, then attended Penn State University for medical school. She moved to Western Howard County in after completing her residency in OBGYN at Penn State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.After caring for so many women with skin and hair complaints, Dr. Apgar decided to fill an obvious void in the community by expanding into aesthetics. Pura Vida Medspa & Cosmetic Laser Center was born in 2008, and Dr. Apgar became the sole owner and Medical Director of the award-winning medical spa in 2013. In 2024, Dr. Apgar founded Aviva Aesthetics, the industry’s only entrepreneur-owned-and-led medical aesthetics platform. Aviva’s mission is to put the power back in the hands of the medical aesthetics entrepreneur, shape the future of aesthetic medicine, and give med spa owners an alternative to private equity. Additionally, Dr. Apgar serves as the Medical Director at Greenhouse Wellness (now Culta), a medical cannabis company she co-founded, and she is the co-founder of Blissiva, a medical cannabis product company designed specifically for women. Dr. Apgar is extremely passionate about education and lifting up people wherever she goes. Her goals for her patients are to create natural beauty by utilizing cutting edge technologies as well as focusing on health and wellness from within. She regularly educates fellow physicians on aesthetic technologies, business strategies, and the ever-expanding world of endocannabinoid medicine.
