ABOUT LESLIE ANN LEVY

Previously I said I\'d be working on a web page for Directors Data (directorsdata.com). I\'ve stopped. See below. And I may switch my work to a non-profit.I cared for 20 years for my mom, who died at age 100 on November 14, 2014. Soon after her death, I sustained a serious burn on my left hand — the one with which I write. 20 years of caring for Mom put a crater in my career, but stepping back has given me that famous \"helicopter view.\" Of course, my 40+ years in corporate governance also helps. Now my interests are broader. I\'m interested in the entire governance landscape, past, present, and future. I\'m interested in governance in just about all its venues: history, literature, politics and warfare, international governance, philosophy, religion, psychology, medicine — and not just governance today. Some of the most important developments in governance occurred centuries ago. Good case in point: the warriors and monks of Ch\'an. Meanwhile, corporate governance has become an industry. I had thought it was maturing, but no longer sure for reasons I\'d like to explain in an article. We\'re seeing consolidation — no surprise! I was wrong in saying that we\'re also seeing far less innovation because corporate governance may not be the maturing industry I had thought. We\'re seeing the emergence of endless, sometimes profitable (sometimes not) niches, with lots of M&A. More on that in my article — when I have time to write it!The editors at LinkedIn won\'t let me say more; I\'ve exceeded their word limit! find a place to tell you what is most important in my work now, including my specialties. Stay tuned, please.
