About Leslie An
I first became interested in statistics when I took some electives during my freshman year. I took some concepts, worked on a few models myself, and have been working in the space since.I\'m fortunate enough to be able to work in a similar capacity for financial institutions of all sizes, from big bank to startup. I worked on fraud detection teams to build models catching criminals. I worked on risk management for loans. My experience with modeling includes GLMs, XGBoost, and Transformer models.My competencies include programming languages such as Python, SQL, R. I\'m versed in common machine learning packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras. I\'m fluent in visualization tools and packages such as Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI. I also worked with Excel, and I speak frequently with stakeholders with all backgrounds, helping them understand what story the data is telling.
