Improvement planning shouldn’t be a dreaded, one-time event—it should be a strategic, collaborative process that drives lasting student success. As Chief Academic Officer at 806 Technologies, I provide professional learning to schools and districts across the country, both with and without the use of our Plan4Learning software.I guide educators through the development of targeted, data-informed improvement plans by facilitating comprehensive needs assessments, root cause analysis, the selection of high-impact, evidence-based strategies, and the creation of SMARTER goals. Whether using Plan4Learning or not, my training emphasizes meaningful stakeholder engagement so that students, staff, families, and the community embrace the school’s vision and actively support the mission.With the right tools, mindset, and support, schools can shift from compliance-driven planning to authentic continuous improvement—and make measurable progress every day.
