About Lesley Martinez

With over 10 years of experience in organizing and managing conferences, I am passionate about creating engaging and impactful events that serve the needs of the corrosion industry. I have a strong background in event planning, event management, and budget creation, and I enjoy working with diverse teams and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. As the Manager, Conferences at AMPP, I oversee an annual budget of $3.5 million and negotiate vendor contracts for 3rd party services. In my current role, I also research and develop event execution strategies that meet the needs of the members, and collaborate with volunteers to create new conference opportunities. Previously, I managed an international team of conference specialists at NACE International, where I organized the association’s annual event for attendees. I also developed and maintained relationships with customers that led to programs that met an industry or area need, and led a cross-functional team of staff and volunteers from the inception to the final completion of a conference. I am skilled in creating, managing, and forecasting revenue and expenses for all assigned events, and overseeing, directing, and monitoring all onsite logistics. I am proud of creating a five year partnership with a major sponsor that generated significant revenue and exposure for the organization.
