ECU Health progressive not-for profit health care systems, reaches more than 1.4 million people across 29 counties. ECU Health’s system of care includes 1,708 beds across an academic medical center with two campuses, affiliated with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, seven community hospital; and numbers of outpatient facilities, home health, hospice and wellness centers. The system also includes a multi-specialty physician and provider group, offers access to more than 500 providers in 100+ practice locations. Leading employee relations practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, accountability, productivity and engagement, goal attainment, team member experience and the ongoing development of an effective competent workforce. Essential functions included but not limited to:* Investigate employee relation issues, identify issues, and recommend resolutions. Identifies facts, policy violations, and breaches of culture/ values that impact workplace. Recommended solutions and how to obtain resolution.* Collaborate closely with Risk/Legal department involving Title VII, Workplace Violence, and high-profile assessments.*Provide Department Managers/Directors/VP’s in the practical and legal aspects of employee relations reviewing, training, effective expectations, corrective action, performance improvement and separation of employees.*Policy development, revision, and updates related to employee relations.* Engage in strategies for increased retention and employee experience.* Oversight of unemployment claims and employee appeals. ECU Health is undergoing transformation, engaging with consulting firm Huron. Position absorbed within the current HRBP structure.
