ABOUT LAURA SHAPIRO

As a Finance partner at Haynes Boone, I lead teams representing large corporate borrowers, public companies, real estate developers, mortgage lenders, private equity sponsors, as well as financial institutions and lenders, in negotiating commercial and corporate debt transactions. My practice primarily includes M&A and leveraged financings, general working capital facilities, commercial real estate loans and securitizations, construction lending, public company representations, restructurings and other corporate financing matters.I am Dallas-born and raised, but my practice is national and international (just like Haynes Boone - Dallas-headquartered with global reach). Haynes Boone is an AmLaw100 law firm, with more than 700 lawyers in 20 offices around the world. I am an HB \"lifer\" and proud to be one of many at the firm with that designation. Being at HB for my entire legal career brings consistency and loyalty to my client representations. HB\'s growth has been driven by our client service strengths, especially our problem-solving acumen and our ability to collaborate with clients. Over the years, my transaction experience spans many industries, including retail, food service, industrial and multifamily construction, manufacturing, professional services, energy, healthcare, technology, and more.Outside of work, I am a member of TREC Young Guns, the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Women Lawyers and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. I was a member of the 2019 Social Venture Partners (SVP) Dana Juett Residency for young professionals and continue to be involved with non-profit consulting through SVP Dallas as a member of their partner network.
