ABOUT LES R BECKER

Much of my evaluation work begins with perception-based measures such as self-efficacy, but is intentionally structured to progress toward observable behavior and system-level performance. I design instruments and frameworks that anchor confidence data within a broader evaluation model, linking reported readiness to simulated performance, team dynamics, and, where feasible, operational metrics such as protocol adherence and workflow integration. This approach allows programs to move beyond static measurement toward a developmental model of evaluation that is both IRB-ready and operationally embedded. The goal is not simply to measure how learners feel, but to build evaluation systems that support credible, decision-relevant insights as training translates into real-world clinical performance.
