As the Business Technology Leader for the global Hospital Medical Device R&D sector, I’m responsible for defining and implementing the information technology strategy for the Real World Evidence generation functions within the Medical Devices R&D organization, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Medical Safety Research and Health Economics and Market access (HEMA). In this role, I:• Collaborate with business partners in our Medical Device R&D operating companies as well as Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, MD Epidemiology and RWE/HEMA functions to define technology platforms and strategy that maximize business value through innovative product and therapy improvements across these functions.• Work with our R&D, Clinical, Medical and Regulatory partners to define business priorities and technology investments to effectively leverage our product line organization and our shared IT services, managing business investments to maximize value and improved patient outcomes. • Drive the implementation of key RWE data and platform initiatives and projects by ensuring deep business engagement, collaborating with key stakeholders, ensuring organizational readiness, clearing roadblocks, securing funding and delivering cross-functional business value.• Lead a team of Data Privacy Engineers responsible for designing platforms and capabilities for our Digital Surgery Enablement Platform which deliver compliant global data acquisition and use through end-to-end data governance and Privacy By Design.• Develop and refine Data & Analytics capabilities, platforms and technologies to drive business value and deliver safer and more effective Medical Device products and treatments to our patients and partners. Accountable for project & operational IT expense and BUIT budget across all HMD R&D Innovation areas.• Connect and partner with Healthcare Informatics industry leaders to gain insights, identify best practices, innovative methods and trends to help drive collaborative opportunities.
