Worked on new product development(NPD) projects by contributing to the component design optimization of the bins, crispers, and shelves in the refrigerator product by identifying critical aspects like material optimization, component thickness optimization, and identifying high stress concentration zones and deformation behavior through implicit simulations in ANSYS Mechanical. Performed coupled thermal-structural simulations in ANSYS to evaluate the refrigerator\'s structural rigidity(Cabinet bulging) in different physical environments. Performed cabinet tipping analysis through ANSYS Mechanical to evaluate the product stability under adverse loading conditions. Performed explicit simulations to identify the root cause of ice bin failures during drop tests(Components getting dislodged and crack propagation), suggested design modifications, and validated with physical tests through LS-Dyna. Performed flat and edge drops, incline impact simulations of refrigerator products to evaluate the best optimum EPS packaging designs as well as identify stress distribution and critical areas in the product assembly through LS-Dyna. Performed drop simulations for internal components of the refrigerator products like bins, shelves, crispers through impact on floor as well as turkey(Food load) drop in order to evaluate their design feasibility as well as understand their deflection, dislodgement behaviour inside the product. Performed implicit simulations in LS-Dyna for refrigerator product stacking in the warehouse to understand the product lean behaviour and optimise floor space.
