About Leo Svoboda

At Nationwide Leo leads the Enterprise Portfolio Management Team, responsible for investment strategy and asset allocation across Nationwide Investments. Previously, Leo was the Head of Liquid Alternatives, leading the team managing hedge fund, equity, and emerging market debt investments. Leo joined Nationwide in 2017 from Penso Advisors, a global macro hedge fund. Prior to joining Penso he was the head of the $4.5b Liquid Alternatives business at the UPS Group Trust. In this role Leo allocated the preponderance of the Trust’s hedge fund exposure. Leo also invested an opportunistic portfolio under the liquid alternatives umbrella. Leo is a CFA Charterholder and a certified FRM. Leo received a BSBA from Bowling Green State University specializing in Financial Economics and Economics and a MBA in Finance, with honors, from the Wharton School.
