About Leon Wang
Hey there, I am Leon Wang, a student at UT Austin pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Robotics. Currently I am the Powertrain System Lead on Longhorn Racing FSAE Combustion’s Powertrain System, and a member of the UT American Society of Mechanical Engineers. I was also a previous member of the Texas Rocketry Engineering Lab’s Orbital Test Stand Team & Fluids Team. My past internships include the UTSW STARS Summer Research Program, Robotics Instructor at iCode Murphy, and Mechanical Design Engineer at Contoro Robotics.I have technical experience with SolidWorks CAD, HSMWorks CAM, finite element analysis (ANSYS), manufacturing (3D-printing, CNC, lathe, mill), robot mechanism design, sheet metal DFM, and integration engineering. I am especially interested in the fields of automotive, aerospace, and robotics engineering.
