A Software Developer with over 20 years experience in the industry, with a strong work ethic and seeking challenging and rewarding work. Graduated in 2001 with first class honors in Software Engineering. Sun and Microsoft certified. Professional qualifications gained via self-study.Always seeking to improve current skill set both via commercial experience and in own time.Worked with leading companies in their field within industries including government, legal, financial and pharmaceutical.Extensive experience with core and enterprise Java technologies.Enjoy working in highly collaborative environments, using test-driven and agile approaches.A strong belief in creating quality, maintainable code by utilising best practices such as Design Patterns and Java coding conventions.I have a keen interest in developing my Dev Ops skills allowing teams to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal of automating frequent software delivery.Specialties: Java 8-17, Rest APIs, Microservices, Agile using Scrum and Kanban, JSON, XML, YAML, Spring Boot 2, JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito, Cucumber, CI/CD using Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Bitbucket, Gitlab, DBMS (including Postgres, SQL Server and Oracle), Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Swagger, AWS (including RDS, S3, CodeArtifact, ECS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway) and IntelliJ to name some of my day to day skills. I mainly work in a Mac Environment but also work with Windows and linux.
