ABOUT LEONEL MARQUES
I started my research career in the development of biosensors using Biotechnological and nanotechnological knowledge. From nanomaterials design to synthesis, coupling inorganic to organic matter all converging for the biosensor development under a blue sky research mindset. Over the years, the research path turned into a dedicated research line with medical diagnostics devices in mind like the ones I worked on for medical ultrasonic imaging, detection of cardiovascular diseases, allergens, Covid-19 and new smart patches for wound care management. Besides of the R&D work, as a research scientist new skills on project management, business intel and clinical trial studies were taken onboard to my continuous working experience.
