ABOUT LEONARD POWERS

From Atari to AI—tech has always been my playground. It all started in Christmas 1979 with an Atari VCS-2600. That first spark led to a VIC-20, a BBC Micro, and eventually a green-screen IBM PC—and I’ve been immersed in technology ever since. With over 30 years in IT, I bring deep hands-on experience, curiosity, and a track record of building, breaking, fixing, and mentoring across every role I’ve held. I’m currently Technical Support Team Lead at Scale Computing, where I lead our EMEA support operations and help solve the kinds of problems others would rather avoid. Before that, I was a Solutions Architect in Sales, and prior to joining Scale, an IT Infrastructure Manager at Safran Aerospace—where I was already a Scale customer (and fan). What drives me?Making tech work simply and reliably.Mentoring the next generation of techies.Turning chaos into clarity.Whether scripting out automation, handling escalations, or leading a global team through complex challenges, I bring a cool head, a dry sense of humor, and an unshakable belief that smart infrastructure should just work.
