Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon AGI, where I work on large foundation models and large-scale post-training to improve reasoning, alignment, and product performance in real-world AI applications.My work includes deep research / agentic search systems, where LLMs interact with search and external tools to plan multi-step investigations, retrieve and evaluate evidence, and generate grounded responses for enterprise and knowledge-intensive use cases. More broadly, I focus on LLM post-training, controllable generation, agentic tool use, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).I earned my PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Darmstadt. My research has been published in top AI/NLP venues, including ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, and KDD. I also support the research community through conference leadership and reviewing roles, including Senior Area Chair (NAACL 2025), Tutorial Chair (ACL 2024), and Area Chair roles across ACL, NAACL, EACL, EMNLP, COLING, and ARR.
