ABOUT LEONARDO CUBILLOS
I am a global health executive with experience in policy, economics, research, and medicine. I have worked with over 40 low- and middle-income countries to strengthen health systems and enhance service delivery for prevention and care across different care domains, including communicable and non-communicable diseases.I have experience with international development organizations, governments, the private sector, and academia. I served as the National Director of Health Insurance at the Ministry of Health of Colombia and as Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank. Currently, I direct the Center for Global Mental Health Research at NIMH/NIH.As a leader, I enjoy fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration. I appreciate working with complex scenarios to identify opportunities and develop clear and actionable plans to sustain the desired change.I remain a clinically active psychiatrist in the United States.My posts reflect my personal views only.
