ABOUT LEONARDO ALEXIS PERALTA
I love the non-profit world. Why? Because its number one mission is not revenue, it\'s impact. When I was 16, I joined the Italian Red Cross, where I volunteered for 2 years. I can hardly think of a happier time than the 12-hour shift nights on the ambulance, providing first aid and helping people get to the hospital, or the training camps, surrounded by like-minded people who were there to invest their personal time to learn how to help others. I spent 6 years working in corporate in China, where I had a great career as a team leader, social media, and project manager. My boss trusted me with complete freedom, which I used to develop several projects and learn different skills, among which videography and photography, but in my heart, something was missing, the passion that drove me while volunteering for the Red Cross. This is why I left my career and moved to Malaysia to volunteer for an NGO as a videographer and photographer, where I was promoted to Content Marketing Manager after half a year. Working with marginalized communities and helping the less fortunate was the best job I could ask for. And that is what I am looking for. With my fluency in Italian, Spanish, and English, my nine-year knowledge in communications, marketing, SEO strategies, social media management, translation and interpretation, team and project management, my six-year experience as photographer/video maker and editor, and a Master\'s in Investigative Journalism, I seek to utilize my skills to help humanitarian and non-profit organizations achieve their mission.
