About Leonardo Brown
The County Administrator serves as the Chief Executive of County operations. The County Administrator is responsible for administering the ordinances, resolutions, and legal actions enacted by the County Council. The County Administrator is responsible for the administration of all departments responsible to the County Council and for the proper administration of all affairs under the jurisdiction of the County Council under the general guidance and policy direction of the eleven (11) Members of Council. The County Administrator leads policy implementation, provides strategic direction, and enables efficient and effective delivery of county provided services through strong leadership and accountability of Deputy County Administrators, Department Heads, and other staff members, as authorized by Council. Decisions made can involve highly sensitive and political issues that can significantly affect the County. The County Administrator must maintain communication channels with County Council and other elected officials as well as with agency leaders and members of the community.
