   I lead EDP Renewables North America Distributed Generation\'s (EDPR NA DG) Investments and Mergers & Acquisitions (IM & A) team. I report into EDPR NA DG\'s CEO and as head of the IM & A department, my role revolves around leading the team and developing and executing EDPR NA DG\'s IM & A strategy. In addition to setting the strategy I work with my direct reports to: originate M&A opportunities; develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate opportunities; lead cross functional enhanced due diligence processes to thoroughly review opportunities; generate buy in from key stakeholders across EDPR; lead contract negotiations; and develop and present acquisition opportunities to EDPR\'s global investment committee.My role is heavily dependent on blending hard skills such as a strong understanding of the renewables and particularly the solar industry; the solar development process; and renewables-specific financial modeling with soft skills such as managing a high performing team; developing and maintaining cross functional relationships; managing complex interdependent processes; and being agile by adapting to rapidly changing market conditions to ensure continued alignment between executive leadership expectations and IM & A strategy.
