I am an experienced global automotive executive leader with expertise leading the Customer facing side of the business including commercial/sales, program management, relationship management, and strategic growth. My strengths include deep product knowledge and a passion for building and developing teams that achieve challenging objectives. Having the ability to always consider the long term strategic implications of the business and balanced with achieving critical short term objectives.I have worked for small, medium and large global companies including privately owned and public. Success in this industry can only be achieved by collaborative teamwork across the entire enterprise, including the customer, suppliers and every function within the organization.I enjoy the globally impactful automotive industry and despite the cyclical challenges, appreciate the incredible opportunities it provided (30+ countries worked in, opened/closed plants, restructured/created businesses, bought/sold companies) and even more, the people I have worked with globally. In early product engineering roles, I had the opportunity to work with Customers, and I really appreciated the importance and value of the front end of the business. I also tangibly learned that Operational Excellence is a must when I was deployed to manage a troubled plant. Johnson Controls (JCI) afforded me various cross functional roles including Commercial Finance, Program Management, Launch, Strategy Development, Strategic Selling, Business Transformation/Change Program Lead. Success opened up bigger and more challenging roles. Leadership roles at JCI led to managing global teams and developing cultural awareness/knowledge. While there were periods of significant growth/global economic meltdowns (2009) and recovery/relative stagnation, the importance of driving best practices, CI and step change improvements became second nature.Woodbridge (privately held, largest independent foam producer) led to a senior role leading product, strategy & marketing. I really appreciated the ability to meet with the founder/owner who still had incredible passion for product. An Executive position at ABC, leading the company’s transformation, was challenging and rewarding.
