Abbott is a Fortune 100 Company focused on Medical Devices and Healthcare. The CRM Business Unit creates products to monitor and manage heart rate. Lead US operations and subsystem design quality for the CRM Division. Oversee quality management of US production sites and Manufacturing transfers to two high-volume global sites. Lead technical teams and enterprise teams and initiatives.• Rebuilt the Quality team to align skills strengths of team members with evolving organizational needs.• Transformed the Quality Engineering group to focus on performance in addition to compliance. Quality now drives the cross-functional engineering team focus on excellence in performance, risk management, and cost savings.• Developed cross-functional teams to proactively create robust production control strategies prioritizing risk management and cost.• Implemented an efficient linkage strategy between design requirements, risk management, and production specifications leading to the elimination of rework and waste in process and product development.• Created a feedback loop between customers and development teams. Linked risk management to design controls allowing for early design for safety and reliability, and elimination of rework by avoiding gaps in validation plans. • Restructured the development process to assure accurate requirements for suppliers. Results include more efficient regulatory approvals as well as an increase in 1st pass success. • Gained regulatory approval on Abbott’s 1st internal design and manufactured battery.
