About Leonard Bernstein
I represent banks, mortgage bankers and finance companies in providing consumer credit compliance advice on federal, Pennsylvania and New Jersey laws and regulations. My colleagues and I handle bank regulatory issues and exams, investigations, and defend class actions and individual claims filed against financial services providers. I am nationally known for my experience with the federal Truth-in-Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and similar laws. Auto finance, credit card, residential mortgage, student loan, deposit products, private bank services are among our client businesses. I am proud to have been ranked in Chambers and Partners as one of Pennsylvania’s leading banking and finance lawyers; named a New Jersey Super Lawyer for 12 consecutive years; listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Banking Law for more than 10 years; and elected to the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. I chaired the Business Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Banking Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and several subcommittees of the American Bar Association\'s Consumer Financial Services Committee.
