Stored encrypted user information utilizing bcrypt gem, JSON Web Tokens and localStorage to create an account, securely login and logout. Created a custom database categorized by title, artist, album and album cover with REST APIs, Active Record, SQLite and Ruby on Rails. Developed the frontend using JavaScript, React and CSS to create seamless UX/UI through clickable buttons, submittable forms and attractive colors. Provided users with the opportunity to leave unlimited reviews for songs on a scale from 1-5 and custom comments. SnackChat More than just your height, but where you like to eat! Dating app that allows users to upload their photo and find love based on their favorite foods and restaurants in New York City. Utilized React, SweetAlert and Bootstrap to create easy-to-use, responsive and interactive components including a form for new users to add themselves and a button to “like” other users. Created a search bar for users to search by keywords within users’ names, bios, favorite foods and restaurants. Implemented a file reader to allow users to upload a.JPG or.PNG file for their photo instead of a URL. Shotify Singalong! Created app that provides cocktail recipes based on what song or artist users are listening to. Utilized JavaScript submit, click and input event listeners to submit forms, take user input, handle button clicks and toggle the site between dark and light mode. Accessed a public database with hundreds of cocktail recipes with REST API to randomly generate five cocktail recipes on each page reload.
