Investigate gang-related crimes while working with other agencies. Interview gang members and inmates. Share relevant information with staff and keep a proper chain of command. Conduct routine cell searches for weapons, narcotics and contraband. I Work with state, local and federal law enforcement organizations to dismantle gangs. Provide court testimony as a gang specialist for other units in our department as well as outside agencies. Assist with training and gang awareness presentations. Maintain current data on criminal gang activity.
