Leo is a partner at Thrasher, Dinsmore & Dolan LPA. He has acted as coordinating counsel for a Fortune 100 company in handling litigation throughout the United States and has worked with various public entities — including service as special counsel to the Ohio Turnpike Commission.Representative MattersLitigation • In 2012, obtained a verdict of $8.2 million on a breach of contract case after a month-long trial before Chief Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr.• In 2011, obtained verdict on behalf of a note holder against borrowers and guarantors in excess of $6.3 million and against guarantor of a lease in excess of $4.3 million. • Settled misappropriation of trade secret claim on behalf of software development company for over $10 million in consideration. • Successfully defended governmental entity against breach of contract claims resulting in a favorable settlement or the governmental entity\'s counterclaim.• Obtained summary judgment on behalf of national retailer in connection with a $2 million breach of lease claim.Leo also was a member of the litigation team that successfully defended the tobacco companies in a class-action lawsuit brought by union pension funds in Ohio. He successfully argued before the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District, Chang v. Government and Regulatory Affairs• In 2006 and 2007, Leo assisted AT & T Ohio in securing agreements with northeast Ohio municipalities, which enabled AT & T Ohio to provide IP-video service to its customers.
