ABOUT LEO EZERINS

Leo Ezerins\' accomplishments are numerous both on and off the football field. He is a true builder of football as a sport and has supported colleagues and communities long since his last game. Leo’s professional experience outside of sport speaks volumes as well. He is a highly accomplished sales and marketing professional with over 25 years cumulative experience in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, and franchising industries. He has worked with Canada’s most recognized and successful companies within each sector. These companies include Investors Group, GlaxoSmithKline, and Boston Pizza International. Leo created, founded, and currently leads a unified national CFL Alumni Association. Formally founded in 2008, the Association today counts over 1,500 members and associate members and the numbers continue to grow. The primary purpose of the Association is to raise money in support of former players who face with medical and/or life challenges. Additionally, the CFLAA’s goal is to create camaraderie while collaborating to enhance the health and wellbeing of its members. In Leo’s own words, the creation and continued impact of the CFLAA is “an honor and highlight of my professional career”. Leo has elevated the awareness and profile of the CFLAA with the support of a strong Board of Directors and over 1500 members. The Alumni members are amongst one of the most active in professional sports. Today, Leo enjoys the daily challenges as the Executive Director of the CFLAA and currently resides in Hamilton, Ontario.
