   Serving as Director of Finance for Middle East-focused, Nasdaq listed, oil field services company. • Perform technical accounting roles including preparation of all SEC filings (quarterly and annual reports, pro forma financial statements, proxy statement, and registration statements), evaluation of complex accounting, and key point of contact for Big 4 audit firm. • Lead high priority internal control and compliance projects including investigation into improper accounting for accounts payable and accrued liabilities, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and design and implementation of controls to remediate multiple material weaknesses. • Develop and present finance organization’s quarterly Board and Committee materials. • Execute fundamental investor relations activities including drafting press releases and conference call scripts, leasing and usage of Bloomberg terminal to perform Company and peer research, review of analyst reports, reconciling analyst models to internal forecasts and actual results, and working with analysts to improve modeling. • Actively managed finance integration and purchase accounting for acquisitions totaling $980 million. Led accounting and financial due diligence and modeling on prospective acquisitions totaling in excess of $226 million. • Directed essential tax, treasury, and financial planning activities including search for and research of uncertain tax positions, cash forecasting (impact of slowdown in DSO, free cash flow models, COVID-19 scenario planning, etc.), and evaluation of accounting alternatives during contract negotiations.
