About Leo Blanken
How do organizations respond when their legacy modes of operation no longer match their evolving strategic environment? To address such challenges I have helped teams of military professionals, academics, and other experts rethink how they develop strategies, invest resources, assess impact and - most importantly - link their daily activities to deeper purpose.I am currently broadening my efforts to include analogous work in the private sector. Two latest projects- I am now leading a new graduate curriculum at NPS focused on innovation and rapid adaptation for Special Operations Forces- I am currently co-authoring a book-length project on the fundamental drivers of (in)efficiency in national security planning.I have written on such topics as strategic planning, intelligence, metrics and assessment, and geopolitics.
