About Leo Avigliano

My name is Leo Avigliano and I am currently a STEM student at Washington and Lee University pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. I am a member of the varsity track and field team, rocketry club, a campus kitchen volunteer, and a Peer Counselor. Moreover, I work with children and adults with developmental disabilities as a lifeguard and camp counselor. With the strong foundation in analytical problem solving I have gained in my Physics and Mathematics curriculum, I am eager to apply my quantitative skills to a future in Intellectual Property law. Some hobbies of mine include lifting weights, golfing, fishing, and reading.

   Judicial Intern in the chambers of the Honorable Judge James M. DeMarzo, Presiding Judge for the Chancery Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Vicinage 10. In this role I will gain exposure to the judicial process and the opportunity to learn directly from the bench. Throughout this internship I will be observing courtroom proceedings, examining various case documents — including motions, judicial opinions, briefs, and orders — and gaining crucial insight into how legal arguments are developed, presented, and ultimately decided. In turn, strengthening my knowledge of legal reasoning, professionalism in a court setting, and how complex legal issues are analyzed and resolved at the trial level.
