Perform analysis on logs produced by network devices such as firewalls, content filters, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention devices; Servers such as application servers, Active Directory servers, DHCP and DNS servers; and other security solutions like Email and Cloud protection services. Utilized monitoring and response technologies such as Endpoint Detection & Response/Extended Detection & Response (EDR/XDR), log aggregation platforms (Elastic/Splunk), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft and Linux security tools to perform security incidence detection and analysis. Assist in the development and updating of SOC playbooks and SOPs. Assist in the preparation of end-of-shift reports for documentation and knowledge transfer to SOC analysts on the next shift. Provide security events analysis and support to include identifying potential threats, anomalies,and infections, documenting findings, providing recommendations within the incident management system, performing triage of incoming security events, performing preliminary and secondary analysis of those events and validating the events.
