ABOUT LENISHAE BROWN

I’m a Commercial Surveyor at JLL, currently working in the Operational Real Estate Valuations team, with a focus on self storage and leisure. The work is analytical, varied, and constantly evolving—an ideal environment for developing my skills and contributing to projects that have real commercial impact.Alongside my core role, I serve as co-chair of JLL’s Race for Change Business Resource Group (BRG). This position is a major part of my professional life and something I care deeply about. I help lead the group’s strategy and programming, working to create space for open dialogue, drive awareness, and push forward meaningful change across the business. We partner with senior leadership, HR, and external speakers to deliver events, workshops, and campaigns that support ethnically underrepresented colleagues and promote an inclusive, equitable workplace culture.For me, diversity and inclusion aren’t just add-ons—they’re essential to building stronger teams, better decision-making, and a more forward-thinking industry. Through the BRG, I’ve had the opportunity to influence policy conversations, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to shaping a more representative future for real estate.My long-term goal is to continue developing both as a valuation professional and as a leader who helps drive progress—not just in the work I do, but in the way we work together as an industry.
