I am a senior lobbyist advocating for the public policy interests of institutions of higher education and other research and education organizations. As the Energy Practice lead, I specialize in energy issues related to fundamental and use-inspired research; research, development, and demonstration activities; and national security. I have over 15 years of experience working on Department of Energy basic and applied research and development programs as well as national security issues related to nuclear weapons and non-proliferation activities. In addition to substantive, subject matter expertise on science and technology issues, I am also an expert on the congressional budget and appropriations process. I am currently a Board Member of the Arms Control Association and am a frequent speaker at science and technology forums.
