ABOUT LEKHAK KAMBHAMPATI
I am a Mechatronics Engineering Student at Manipal Institute of Technology, passionate about Renewable Energy, Automobile Design, Automation, and CAD builds and simulations. My journey in engineering has been marked by hands-on experience and a constant drive to learn and innovate. Recently, I completed a two-month internship as a Vehicle Structures Intern at John Deere. Here, I collaborated with a talented team of engineers, contributing to the design process of heavy forestry machines. My role was pivotal in ensuring structural integrity, durability, and efficiency of these machines. One of my proudest achievements is my role as a Structures and Aerodynamics Engineer at Solar Mobil, a student-led initiative. I was responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing the chassis and bodywork of a single-seater solar car, pushing the boundaries of sustainable mobility through innovative engineering solutions. My technical skills are extensive. I am proficient in industry-standard software and tools, including Fusion 360, ANSYS Workbench, SOLIDWORKS, and FEA. My Project Internship at RCI, DRDO, further honed my skills, where I investigated the aerodynamic parameters of a symmetric airfoil using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques. Beyond the classroom and the lab, I am an active member of my college’s Renewable Energy Club and volunteer for local environmental clean-up projects. These activities fuel my passion for sustainable engineering solutions. I am constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills.
