As part of the intership program at Caltrans District 12, Environmental Engineering Branch, I assist engineers by reviewing and compiling supoorting data for hazardous waste, noise, and air quality reports. On a daily basis, I have been introduced to different programs within Caltrans and conducted a few site visits. I am currently responsible for preparing a GIS database for all the aerially deposited lead locations that previously appeared within the Orange County region. This database will help significantly reduce the cost and labor time for Caltrans.
