About Leilani Farrell
I’m a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati with a strong interest in applying engineering principles to solve real-world healthcare challenges. I recently completed my third co-op rotation at AtriCure in Manufacturing – Operations, where I helped integrate academic knowledge into industry practices. My previous co-op roles include Product Development Intern, where I worked on protocol writing, data analysis, and failure investigations, and Quality Design Assurance Intern, where I gained experience with quality systems and product qualifications. On campus, I serve as VP of Inclusion and Belonging for Zeta Tau Alpha, leading DEI workshops and managing a committee to foster member connections. I’m also the Social Chair for the Biomedical Engineering Society, where I help boost engagement through social media and event planning.I’m passionate about bridging the gap between classroom learning and the biomedical industry and always looking for opportunities to grow, collaborate, and contribute to innovative solutions in healthcare technology.
