ABOUT LEILA MOUDJARI

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Artificial Intelligence at ANITI/IRIT, specializing in Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and conversational intelligence. My work focuses on understanding and generating language in complex, real-world settings: emotion and intention detection, crisis management, multimodal analysis (speech + text), and data generation for low-resource languages.With a PhD in AI (USTHB & Université de Toulouse) and several publications in international venues (Dialogue & Discourse, Odyssey, LREC, Springer, ACL tracks), I combine deep academic expertise with practical, applied experience. I have contributed to large-scale projects on:• crisis tweet classification and urgency detection,• LLM-based conversational sentiment analysis,• speech acts modeling,• multimodal emotion classification,• data generation and augmentation pipelines,• cross-lingual and dialectal NLP (Arabic, Arabizi, code-switching),• arguments mining.I collaborate with research and industry partners in France, Singapore, and Indonesia, and I regularly supervise engineers, master’s students, and academic trainees. I also teach Natural Language Processing at Toulouse Ynov Campus, where I design and deliver courses on deep learning and modern language models.Driven by curiosity and impact, I am passionate about building AI systems that understand humans better, especially in sensitive contexts such as crisis response, mental health, mobility assistance, and multilingual communication.I’m always open to collaborations in LLMs, applied NLP, generative AI, conversational systems, and multilingual/multimodal intelligence.
