ABOUT LEILA LAWSON

Experienced and relationship-driven public health program and project coordinator with a demonstrated history of working within local government, nonprofit, and community-based settings. I bring five years of experience supporting youth and workforce development initiatives, workplace wellness programs, and community engagement efforts focused on improving access, participation, and equity. I hold a Master of Public Health degree and am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).I have coordinated and evaluated community-based programs, supported outreach and partnership development, provided stewardship and ongoing engagement for donors and partners, managed events and logistics, and contributed to data tracking, reporting, and program improvement across diverse populations. In my most recent role with the Austin Public Health Department, I helped rebuild post-COVID engagement and increased program participation by 70 percent through strategic outreach, partner collaboration, and program design improvements.I am deeply motivated by mission-driven work that advances health equity, community well-being, and inclusive systems-level change. I am especially passionate about supporting organizations and programs that strengthen communities through connection, prevention, and access to resources.
