ABOUT LEILA GAINEY
As an undergraduate student passionate about public health, health administration, and global health, I am driven by the belief that access to quality care is a right, not a privilege. My academic journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to addressing health disparities and understanding how systems-level change can improve the lives of underserved communities.As of July 2025, I completed an internship at the Hyacinth Foundation in New Brunswick, where I supported HIV/AIDS prevention and care initiatives. This experience deepened my understanding of community-based public health work and reinforced my interest in combining advocacy with health administration to create meaningful impact.
