In this new role, I\'ll be partnering with the Lynn Police Department to help individuals in crisis avoid unnecessary arrest. Provide on-scene mental health assessments, brief counseling, and referrals to community treatment for mental health and substance use challenges. I\'ll be based at the LPD and will be working with Eliot\'s BHU team there.

ABOUT LEIGHTON OCONNOR
My passion is to help people who are dealing with mental illness and homelessness. In 2018 I founded Mission For Hope, Inc to care for the homeless and create awareness of the severe homeless problem which exists in the United States. Partnering with Jeep and off-road clubs across the country, we have distributed thousands of blankets and hygiene kits in North America as well as providing needed clothing and food to the homeless. Mission For Hope, Inc is registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation.
