Eaton School District provides public education to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Galeton Elementary was recognized by the state of Colorado for the second year in a row as a John Irwin School of Excellence for their outstanding academic achievement in 2019. Despite the small size, Eaton High School offers an extensive selection of classes to prepare students for post-secondary careers and partners with the University of Northern Colorado and AIMS Community College. Eaton High School boasts awarding-winning academic programs complemented by State championship athletics and activities. Voters approved a $128m facility bond construction bond issue on the November 2019 ballot to build a new high school and remodel existing facilities.
