ABOUT JEREMY LEIGH
I am a Chemical Engineering B.S. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, on track to graduate in 2027. I\'m a big picture learner that enjoys applying my learning to new situations and pursuing my own interests within the content. This past summer, I used my overlap of engineering, food science, and business skills as a Product Line Management Intern at Ingredion. I compiled, processed, and analyzed large databases to find areas of overlap in our SKUs, while serving as a point of contact between the internal supply chain team and the go-to-market team. It was an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a well-established ingredient solutions provider, as well as a helpful kickstart to my career with projects that impacted our team. Since August 2024, I\'ve been serving as a Resident Advisor at St. John\'s Catholic Newman Center, where I\'ve honed my interpersonal skills, ensuring the safety and well-being of a large resident community. On duty, I think quickly, and problem solve to deal with active emergencies when necessary.I also worked in the food service industry for 3 years, where I learned how to work efficiently in order to maximize productivity, balancing many roles in a team-focused environment. Outside of school and work, I focus on maintaining a balance of my emotional, social, physical, mental, and spiritual health. I prioritize time with family and friends, while engaging in hobbies that revitalize me, like playing the guitar or working out. I am constantly setting new goals for myself and striving to be the best version of myself. Right now, I am trying to set a personal record at the Disney marathon, and aiming to finish finals strong. I am looking forward to this upcoming summer, where I will intern at PepsiCo as a supply chain intern. I can\'t wait to be boots on the ground in a manufacturing environment, where I will be able to grow, learn, and contribute.
